Summary: | 碩士 === 國立勤益科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系 === 104 === Taiwan has a comprehensive healthcare system incorporating an adequate national health insurance scheme that provides various types of medical treatment and favorable healthcare services for patients. Strategies for developing the domestic healthcare industry involve enhancing the capability of both healthcare professionals and logistic support personnel. In particular, the maintenance of healthcare electric machines is a crucial task of logistic support and ensures the safe operation of such machinery in healthcare institutions. Healthcare electric machines are diverse and complex, and the focus of their maintenance should be shifted from “normal supply” to “safetyrequirement” to fulfill the rigorous requirements of the healthcare industry. Therefore, this study adopted a literature review, an open-ended questionnaire and basic statistical analysis (SPSS) to identify the basic knowledge, professional skills, and work attitudes required for the maintenance personnel of healthcare electric machinery. In addition, IPA was adopted to determine the competency gap. The empirical analysis revealed competency gaps between the expected and existent competency levels of the maintenance personnel. In particular, the greatest competency gapwas identified in the personnel’s basic knowledge. A correlation analysis showed that basic knowledge demonstrated a strong and positivecorrelation with competency gap, indicating that the maintenance personnel exhibited a substantial gap in their expected and existent knowledge levels. Accordingly, training courses can be administered to reduce the competency gap. This study examined the environment, culture, and work competency requirements of the healthcare industry to identify the competency gaps of maintenance personnel in charge ofhealthcare electric machinery. The results can serve as a reference for relevant healthcare professionals, industries, and educators to plan resource allocation and integration.
