Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 運動與健康管理研究所 === 104 === The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among principle for deep knowledge, mental toughness and sport anxiety in athletes.
There were 313 questionnaires sent out in total, and 280 out of the returned questionnaires were valid. The statistical analyses were performed by using SPSS 20.0, and the statistical methods included descriptive statistics, Pearson-moment Correlation, Multiple Regression Analysis, one way ANOVA, and t-test. The tools were composed of four sections: Demographics (gender, age, grade, training year, sport category and performance), Mental Toughness Questionnaire48(MTQ48), Principles for Deep Knowledge Scale(PDK) and Sport Anxiety Scale(SAS).
The results showed that all athletes have attitude of PDK and MT, and PDK correlated significantly with MT. Mostly Sport Anxiety had significant negative correlation with PDK and MT. Thus, Hypothesis 1 was partly supported. Multiple Regression Analysis indicated that Deep and Down principle, Contrasting and Complementing principle, Revolving and Cycling principle, Inner Connection principle and Contradiction principle can predicted MT. Hypothesis 2 was partly supported. One way ANOVA found that performance of athletes had significant difference in MT and Sport Anxiety. The higher performance athletes had higher MT and lower Sport Anxiety than the lower performance athletes. Thus, Hypothesis 3-1 was partly supported and Hypothesis 3-2 was supported. Finally, t-test showed that male athletes in Challenge and Control were higher than female, Hypothesis 4-1 was partly supported;gender did not differ in Sport Anxiety, Hypothesis 4-2 was not supported.
According to results, expanding the PDK of athletes, and developing strategies to enhance Mental toughness and control Sport anxiety. Hope this results can be helpful for improving the performance of athletes.
