碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 景觀與遊憩碩士學位學程 === 104 === Local residents living in Yilan notice that the traditional agriculture villages are crumbling.Therefore, In 1994 the County Administration has accompanied by the Social Welfare Foundations to launch a campaign about protecting the “Yilan House” Aesthetics landscape. However, The changes of Agriculture land policy and the development of Taipei- Yilan Expressway affect the land price increasing rapidly,which is strongly rising home price and forming a phenomena called uxurious farm house.Yilan House was adversely affected and became a significant influence on shaping of the new landscape in Yilan. This article addresses the imagination and knowledge of users about Yilan House as well as the impact of Yilan House on environment. The major concerns of this article is the impact of Yilan House on Ilan land use and future development. Research methods used include case study, literatures analysis and in-depth semi-structured interviews with Yilan House owners, professions and local residents.These findings suggest that there should have specification of those messy farmhouses. However, this is the driver of building “fashionable” farmhouses in Yilan. According to the influences of Hsueh-shan Tunnel as well as the policy of culture and tourism, the government rebrand Yilan House as a “Brand“ image. The traditional living environment of local farmers is consumed and the farm is became goods.The main reasons is major land-use changes caused of urban expansion and changing of social environment.
