Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 土壤環境科學系所 === 104 === In northern Taiwan, Taoyuan is the most important and the biggest rice producing area. Even under similar climate and field management, spatial varication appeared on the field paddy rice yield. It indicated the existence of paddy rice yield that soil limiting factors.
Because field sampling and soil characteristics surveying are time consuming and costy opertions, it is hard to identify or characterize soil limiting factors in these rice fields. The purpose of this study is using remote sensed yield maps and traditional soil survey data in conjunction with basic soil science knowledge and data mining techniques to identify soil limiting factors of the paddy rice fields in Taoyuan.
In this study, we used 2004 to 2011 Taoyuan SPOT images at cropping booting stage of two seasonal to produce spatial temporal yield. Through the spatial temporal yield map was divided into consistent-high, consistent-average, consistent-low, and the un-consistent four kinds. Based on the spatiotemporal rice yield maps, data mining techniques can be employed to identify the existence of soil limiting factors and their spatial distribution within the study sites. The results indicated that poor internal drainage was the major soil limiting factor that caused low yielding in Taoyuan area.
