Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 國家政策與公共事務研究所 === 104 === The purpose of this research is to understand the current development about knowledge and ability of members in mountaineering associations in colleges and the risk perception about mountaineering injury. The research adopts the method of cluster sampling and uses structured questionnaire formulated by the researcher as a research tool to collect data. The research population is based on members in mountaineering associations in colleges. With a handy sampling method, the total valid research samples are 233, which are selected from 10 colleges: 5 colleges from the north district, 3 colleges from the central district, 2 colleges from the east district, plus students of College Students Mountaineering Alliance from the south district and members participating in Mountaineering Safety Training Camp in year 103. The data is processed and analyzed with SPSS software and the statistics methods include descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test and one-way ANAOVA.
The outcomes of the research are as follows:
(1)The major members, who participate in the research and study activities in mountaineering knowledge and ability held by school associations, are from the mountaineering associations in colleges. The second large group is from Ministry of Education.
(2) The perception about the safety awareness of mountaineering of college students is in medium grade, and the perception of “mountaineering preparation” is the most highly ranked.
(3) About the risk perception about mountaineering injury, members from college mountaineering associations think the probability of mountaineering injury happens from time to time. Among all, “synthetic factors” probably happen the most. The seriousness of mountaineering injury is in the middle level of “common injury” and “serious injury”. Among all, “natural factors” are the most serious.
(4)Male members of mountaineering associations in colleges, as cadre members, with the seniority of “more than 2 to 4 years”, along with the frequency of “more than 1 to 2 times”, and with “more than 30 hours” mountaineering education have better perception in safety awareness of mountaineering.
(5)Female members of mountaineering associations in colleges, without the experience of being cadre members, with the seniority “under 1 year”, along with the frequency “under 1 time” think the probability of the risk about mountaineering injury happens more often.
The research suggests:
1.To the authority of administration organization.
(1)Increase times of holding research and study training in safety awareness of mountaineering.
(2)Make the investigation statistics information of mountaineering disasters public.
2.To mountaineering associations.
(1)Boost members’ training in “mountaineering skills”.
(2)Encourage members of the associations to participate in study and training in safety awareness of mountaineering and enhance the communication and cooperation among schools.
(3)Establish risk management panels and draw up risk management strategies.
(4)Create a set of Mountaineering Standard Operating Procedure.
