These suggestions can be used as great references to either the central or local governments and for future research. This thesis utilizes questionnaire as the primary research method. There are 213 effective samples out of 250 participants, which yield to 85.2% response rate. The data was analyzed by utilizing Descriptive Statistics (Frequency Distribution, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation (SD) and Coefficient of Variation (CV)), Independent-Samples t Test, One-way Analysis of Variance ,Pearson's Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMCC) and Simple Linear Regression. The results are stated as follows: 1.75.13 % of participants are aware of the environmental impact caused by waste cooking oil. It shows that our government should be more efforts to carry out environmental education and public awareness work. 81.95% of participants show a positive and proactive attitude towards the way the waste cooking oil is currently handled which shows their concern about this issue. 80.89% of participants show strong willingness to recycle waste cooking oil. 2.In terms of participants’ awareness of environmental impact caused by waste cooking oil, there is no significant difference between genders, ages, education backgrounds, diet preferences and treatment of waste cooking oil. However, the sources of information have significant influence on the participants’ awareness of waste cooking oil’s environmental impact. However, the sources of information about waste cooking oil have significant influence on participants’willingness to recycle waste cooking oil. There is no significant difference between genders, ages, education backgrounds, diet preferences, treatment of waste cooking oil and information sources of waste cooking oil when it comes to the participants’ behavioral intention toward waste cooking oil. 3.The research result shows a moderate correlation (r(212)=0.37,P<.05) between the participants’awareness of environmental impact caused by waste cooking oil and their attitudes towards recycling waste cooking oil. There is a moderate correlation(r(212)=0.23,P<.05) between the participants’ awareness of environmental impact caused by waste cooking oil and their willingness to recycle waste cooking oil. There is a high correlation (r(212)=0.62,P<.05) between the participants’ attitudes towards recycling waste cooking oil and their willingness to recycle waste cooking oil.
