Using Hybrid differential evolution (HDE) design an optimal process techniques to explore voltage regulator and reactive power compensator installed location on the feeder of distribution system. Finally, coordinate the OLTC of transformer, regulator setting and reactive power compensator in the distribution system for the effective maintenance of power quality. For the radiation-type distribution system, the result shows the reactive power compensator control and OLTC and voltage regulator setting not only more economical way to install, but improved the power quality.
