Summary: | 碩士 === 明新科技大學 === 電子工程系碩士班 === 104 === The automation of household appliances, the integration of multimedia streaming, and the development of home security surveillance system lead the uses of the internet of things for a smart life. After many years' efforts, senior students from the Digital Convergence Lab have built a solid foundation specifically for the developments of a smart living. The major subjects in this thesis hope to achieve: expanding the application area from home to its outside area where a normal star topology isn't applicable; developing an appropriate APP to merge the applications of smart life into the contents of digital TV; and paving the road for the implementation of an IPTV set-top box in terms of multimedia player.
This thesis uses characteristics of Zigbee network topology to expand the range of smart life uses. It adopts TI CC2530F256 chip and Z-Stack protocol stack for products development. For instance, the surveillance system developed for plant cultivation has met the needs of agricultural activities by setting up routers. This thesis also explains how to use the Raspberry pi as a multi-function controller to include the functions of Gateway and set-up box. By using the APP in the multi-function controller, we can change the status of household appliances, the contents of multimedia player, and the activity of security surveillance system. For convinence, the multi-function controller can be controlled by the smart phone. In the part of multimedia player, we use Live 555 software to develop an IPTV set-up box. By testing, the set-up box was designed by ourselves, can make the similar performance with the commercial set-up boxes.
