Diet is one of important parts of leisure activities. In Taiwan, Taiwanese cuisine is an essential part of tourist activities. The numbers of Vietnamese people living or staying in Taiwan are increasing. When Vietnamese people come to Taiwan, they need to adapt to not only a very different life style compared to their own, but also deal with all kinds of conflicts and contradictions on the issues of cultural recognition, including language and habits. Cuisine adaption is one of important acculturation issue for them. The main purpose of this study is to understand how familiar Vietnamese people are with Taiwanese snacks, and whether different visiting purposes would affect on their snack experience imagery. This study used convenience sampling method to collect sample who staying in Taiwan for at least 6 months, or hold legal Roc identification card, or resident certificate. A total of 650 questionnaires were issued, recovered 612 valid questionnaires and the rate of return was 94.2%. The results showed that: (1) the subjects’ like and are most familiar with Bubble tea, followed by Chicken cutlets, Fried chicken, Salt-flavored Chicken and Xiaolongbao (Steamed Dumpling); (2) The majority of subjects agreed and thought there are a great variety of Taiwanese snacks to choose from, all with very attractive appearances and smells, also taste quite particular; (3) different visiting purposes has an influence on Taiwanese snacks’ liking and experience imagery; (4) sensory experiences has an influence on affected Taiwanese Snacks' liking.
