This book combines the confucianism and calligraphy laws with system and overall concept. It plays an important role in this area. Due to escort the religion of Ming Dynasty, this book also contains the orthodoxy calligraphy laws from Wang Xizhi, in order to against the negative atmosphere in late Ming Dynasty. This article is mainly about the explanation and analysis of Hsiang Mu’s Elegant Language of Calligraphy. Through the liturare and comparison, we try ti figure out some piont of views. First, what’s the origional thoughts? Second, what are the creative and unique opinions? And the last, how do we evaluate this book? The research has steadily increased by understanding the causes first, then into Hsiang Mu’s theory of orthoepy and artistic and from the judgement of Su Shi, Mi Fei, Wang Wen, and Ma Yilong. This theory also meets between the books of Hsiang ‘s Clan and the Elegant Language of Calligraphy, which mentioned about other calligraphers and rubbings.
