Description
Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 數位媒體設計學系碩士班 === 104 === Garment is one of the elements of human being’s living and an important symbol of human civilization as well. In china’s history, garment is considered an important study for historian. Through the garment, we can not only understand the aesthetic and culture, but also its’ economic development and cultural thoughts. However, there’re so many costume dramas put too much contemporary sense of beauty and creativity in their design. The drama costumes deviating from the standard form of traditional costume confuse the audience. They audience may regard the drama costume as the traditional garment and can’t recognize the right traditional ones. The purpose of this creation is to use 3D model of garment to show the right traditional Chinese costume. Garment has a long history. It covers many dynasties and different nations through the past 5,000 years. In Ming Dynasty, because Chu Yuan-chang wanted to change the garment into the Han’s traditional garment, he took the Tang and Song as and model and remake a complete system of the garment and had great influence till now. Therefore, in order to investigate the traditional garment of Han nationality, it is better to start from the garment of Ming Dynasty to discuss its system and contents. This research is based on the female garment of Ming Dynasty as the main field of research. This research uses “historical research” to gather all the references, unearthed relics and portraits of Ming Dynasty systematically. However, the description and illustration in references are hard to make the readers have instinctive imagination of the right style of the garment. Unearthed relics are good for promoting but lack of quantities and coordination. Ancient paintings and portraits though have good coordination but lack of precise size and material. Therefore, the research will combine the three points mentioned above. The research of garment style will be based on the ten female full-length portraits collected in The Palace Museum. Also it will use the reference, unearthed relics to figure out the size and material of the garment in order to create five sets of 3D model of females in Ming Dynasty. 3D model of garment will go with the references and output as a clip. It contains the right form of garment, the coordination of garment, the garment style and the meaning of the pattern on the garment, etc. combining 3D model of garment and reference together can make the audience understand the women’s garment in Ming Dynasty in a short time, and also can achieve the goal of showing the sense of beauty and knowledge of the traditional women’s garment of Ming Dynasty.
