Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 公共事務學系碩士在職專班 === 104 === The study is designed to investigate the relationships among working environment (job demands, job control and social support), psychosocial safety climate, depressed mood and job engagement of administrative staffs of private universities. The main purposes are: 1. To investigate the effect of the working environment on the depressed mood of administrative staffs at private universities. 2. To investigate the impact of the psychosocial safety climate on administrative staffs. 3. To investigate the influence of job engagement on the depressed mood. 4. To investigate the influence of the depressed mood on job satisfaction and work life quality. The study adopted exploratory factor analysis and hierarchical regression analysis to verify those hypotheses we explored. The samples came from administrative staffs in 6 private universities from north, central, and south Taiwan. The results of the study are as follows: 1. The personal background variables significantly influences depressed mood, job demand, job control, social support, psychosocial safety climate, job engagement and job satisfaction. 2. The job demand positively affects depressed mood, and negatively affects job control. 3. The psychosocial safety climate negatively affects depressed mood. 4. The depressed mood negatively affects job engagement, job satisfaction, and work life quality. Finally, the study proposes the recommendations based on the results to the practitioners and the future related researcher for reference.
