In addition, it can protect the occupational safety in nursing service and avoid the danger of the internal infection in the medical institution. In the past, the relative research of NPIRs focused on the construction principles of the engineering system, the management of infection control, and the psychological problems of the care givers. However, user demands were missing in planning and design processes. This research take a medical center in Taiwan as example to find out the service gap with service design method, to converge the service gap by Delphi Hierarchy Process method, and to discuss the improvement about the design principles. The result of the first five design principles are 1.pressure gauge, 2.pressure display mode, 3.emergency call, 4.operation standard, and 5.warning lights. After the discussion with the experts, a monitoring interface was set up at the hallway entrance of the NPIRs. As the prototype was fabricated, nurses were invited to operate it practically and finish a satisfaction survey. The result of survey showed that the improvement of the monitoring interface of the NPIRs is more convenient for operation, and is satisfied with the content of identifiability and the appearance. It also protect the user’s physical and psychological safety, which is matched with the aim of this research that utilizing service design method to improve the operating safety of the NPIRs. Utilizing the service design method and user value co-creation, this research develop the monitoring interface of NPIRs successfully. Besides creating a safe NPIRs for nursing working, it is expected that the outcomes of this research can provide useful suggestion of the medical equipment engineering system design.
