The study compared the effects of different background variables on preschool educators’ job stress and living satisfaction and investigated the correlation among the research variables. Using questionnaire survey, the Kinmen County examine preschool eudcators’ job stress and living satisfaction in public kindergartens was used as the research tool. The samples of the survey study were 174 preschool educators in public kindergartens in Kinmen. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient. The conclusions of the study were as follows: 1. Kindergarten teachers in this survery have middle-low job strees. The hightest stress comes from the variable of “job feedback”, and then are“work load”,“professional knowledge” and “interpersonal relationship”. 2. There are significant differences in the kindergarten teachers’ job stress with different age, seniority, administrative tasks, position title, and different preschools with different sizes. 3. Kindergarten teachers also mark middle-high scores on living satisfaction. The variable of “leisure and pleasure”gets the highest score, and then are“job and self-realization”, “life enjoyable”,and “family and life satisfaction”. 4. There are significant differences in the kindergarten teachers living satisfaction with different age, marital status, academic background, seniority and position title. 5. There is a significant and lower negative correlation between job stress and living satisfaction among kindergarten teachers. Finally, based on the conclusion of the present study, the suggestions about preschool educators’ job stress and living satisfaction are provided to education administrative departments, kindergartens, preschool educators and future research.
