Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 國際企業學系碩士在職專班 === 104 === This thesis focuses on student’s previous job of seeing and experiencing conflicts during transition process on family business; conflicts are caused due to different thoughts and communication gap from two generations to become succession dilemma. At present, the successor of family business is usually business owner’s son or daughter in order to inherit family business; seldom of them were taken over by professional manager. Now, retire age of 1st generation business owner is delayed due to 2nd generation successor is not found yet or not mature enough. This thesis chose to interview 1st generation business owners and 2nd generation successors to understand and discuss the possible succession dilemma during transition process; for example, conflicts and communication gap in between 2 generations; whether successor is unable to get out of business owner’s shadow; what if successor does not suitable this position; is there any effect on family business if there is more than one successor candidates. In the meanwhile, except to analysis conflicts from student’s previous job; student also try to find out the best solution from interview to resolve succession dilemma. This would bring different thoughts and suggestion to student herself or some other 2nd generation successors.
