Summary: | 碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 企業管理學系 === 104 === In a buyer-supplier relationship, supplier’s perceived justice of buyer’s behaviors plays an essential role in their collaboration performance. This study considered distributive, procedural, as well as interactional justice. Although past research have indicated that if suppliers perceive greater justice they also perceive greater relationship performance, these studies were all based on a bilateral discussion, focusing on just the buyer and supplier. Kang, Mahoney, and Tan (2009) propose that spillover effects from such relationship may lead to supplier’s behaviors that deviate from the prediction of the usual exchange and transaction cost based theories. The purpose of this study is, therefore, to explore the possible effects of spillover on suppliers’ perceived justice and their relationship performance with the buyers.
Survey data from members of the TEEMA were analyzed using. hierarchical regression. The results show that both reputation and knowledge spillovers have significant moderating effects on certain aspects of supplier’s perceived justice and their relationship performances. It is possible that suppliers are willing to endure lower justice if certain spillover effects are high. One interesting result is that when OEM suppliers gain capacity improvements as spillover, they tend to demand higher distributive justice from the buyer.
