Summary: | 碩士 === 康寧大學 === 資訊傳播研究所 === 104 === The main purpose of this study was to explore the effect of Elaboration Likelihood Model of Persuasion Theory on eighth-grade students’ understanding in different groups of Vocational High School. The object of this study were 95 from four classes. Class A received Central Route(teaching) and Peripheral Route(video), Class B received Central Route only, group C received video only, whereas Class D received nothing. The teaching lasted for 2 weeks, and the video lasted for 1 week. These classes had the pretest and the posttest before and after experimentation separately. “Teaching assessment on groups of Vocational High School” was used as the instruments of this study.
Statistical analysis was concluded as follows: (1) Central Route (teaching) and Peripheral Route(video) enhanced much more students’ understanding in different groups of Vocational High School; (2) Central Route(teaching), Peripheral Route(video), and Central Route (teaching) and Peripheral Route(video) simultaneously all better than control group on students’ understanding in different groups of Vocational High School; (3)There was no statistically significant difference between Central Route(teaching), Peripheral Route(video), and Central Route (teaching) and Peripheral Route(video) simultaneously on students’ understanding in different groups of Vocational High School.
Based on the results mentioned above, we can use Peripheral Route(video) to improve students’ understanding in different groups of Vocational High School.
