Summary: | 碩士 === 高苑科技大學 === 經營管理研究所 === 104 === The Purpose of this study is to investigate the current situation of job stress and coping strategies among elementary school teachers in Nanzih District of Kaohsiung City and it also compares their job stress and coping strategies of elementary school teachers with different backgrounds and understands their relevant circumstances.
This study adopted questionnaire survey and used “The Questionnaire of Relationship between Job Stress and Coping Strategies among Elementary School Teachers in Nanzih District of Kaohsiung City” as research tool. The questionnaire was administered to a sample consisting of 225 elementary school teachers in Nanzih District of Kaohsiung City and a total of 200 valid responses were obtained. The collected data were analyzed through statistic software of SPSS and it adopted descriptive analysis, t-test, one-was ANOVA and Pearson product-moment correlation to conduct data analysis.
According to results of analysis, this study obtained the following results:
I. For the feeling of whole job stress of elementary school teachers in Nanzih District of Kaohsiung City, it is at intermediate level and among that, the stress of “working load” is the highest and the stress of “interpersonal relationship” was the lowest.
II. For using frequency of “overall coping strategies” of elementary school teachers in Nanzih District of Kaohsiung City, it is at intermediated level and the highest using frequency of coping strategies is “rational thinking” and the using frequency of “procrastination” is the lowest.
III. Elementary school teachers in Nanzih District of Kaohsiung City who are female, senior or with administrative jobs have larger job stress.
IV. Elementary school teachers in Nanzih District of Kaohsiung City who are senior or with administrative jobs have higher using frequency in coping strategies.
According to the above results, it provided specific recommendations as reference for educational institutions, schools, elementary school teachers and future researches.
