Summary: | 碩士 === 高苑科技大學 === 經營管理研究所 === 104 === This study aims to investigate the impact of positive psychological traits and work stress on life adaptation of the teaching staff from Jiachang Elementary School of Nanzih District, Kaohsiung (JCESNDK). The main purposes are quadruple: 1) to have decent knowledge on the status quo of JCESNDK teachers’ psychological traits, work stress, and life adaptation; 2) to see into different situations of the positive psychological traits, work stress, and life adaptation of the teachers with various background variables; 3) to analyze the inter-relationships of JCESNDK teachers’ positive psychological traits, work stress, and life adaptation; and 4) to deeply look into the research results and give suggestions to JCESNDK teachers for them to have opportunities to perceive their own positive psychological traits and work stress, so as to develop favorable life adaptation. After firstly collecting relevant literature, we probe and analyze, followed by submitting the research structure, performing questionnaire compilation, and then carrying out general questionnaire survey. The teaching staff from JCESNDK is chosen as the research subject. The study is examined by statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, and stepwise.
The results of the study are as follows: 1) JCESNDK teachers possess high-level positive psychological traits and life adaptation, with medium work stress and high perception of “positive thinking,” “household adaptation,” and “administration coordination;” 2) unmarried teachers and teachers holding concurrent administration jobs perceive higher work stress; as to the issue of life adaptation, subject teachers under the age of 30 with less than five years of teaching experience have better adaptation; 3) teacher’s positive psychology and degree of work stress are negatively correlated; teacher’s positive psychology and life adaptation are positively correlated; and work stress and life adaptation are negatively correlated; 4) positive psychological traits and work stress have predicitve effect on life adaptation, with “optimism” and “role conflict” having higher predictivity.
