Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 電機工程系博碩士班 === 104 === This thesis designs a speed-based pneumatic cushion system for treadmills. This is an improvement from an air cushion absorber system developed by Everesports Fitness Good Company in Xiamen, China. Piezoresistive sensors and differential amplifier are used in the designed circuit for detection of voltages. The voltage and the speed information from console are combined to control inflation or deflation of the cushion system. The absorbers can change hardness according to different speeds.The new design has upgraded absorbers from a passive inflation system into an active inflation one. Therefore, the impact to user’s knee while using treadmills can be reduced significantly.
