The Engineering is one more example of the great capability of the computer technology has for develop more knowledge, create processes that are not possible using conventional technology, and making that processes faster and reliable. As part of the Engineering, the Mechanical Engineering as well wants to take advantage of the benefits of the computer technology. In this thesis three clear examples of applications of computer technology are presented using the assistance of CAD, CAM, CAE software. The first is about the design of a clamping device, in which all the drawings were made using SolidWorks® 2010. Some considerations such the force of clamping was taken in order to simulate the behavior of the device and verify the device was strong enough for deal with the stress. For the simulation the software COMSOL® Multiphysics was used. The second example is a about two real parts that by using reverse engineering methods were scanned, then processed into the program PowerSHAPE-Pro® 2013 were the surfaces of the pieces were made and subsequently the solid was created, in that way the solids of the pieces could be accessed fast and reliable, finally solids were opened by SolidWorks®, where some little changes were edited. The last example was centered in the CAM technology, where the machining process of a piece was created using PowerMILL®. The tools, the toolpaths, the target piece, the raw material and some features were placed inside the software in order to get the G-M code. The code was simulated previously in the program for avoiding any crash during the machining. The piece was successfully machined using a 5 axis machine on a piece of aluminum.
