Description
Summary:碩士 === 高雄醫學大學 === 護理學系碩士班 === 104 === The purpose of this study was to test the validity and reliability of the Taiwan version of Maternal Postpartum Quality of Life Questionnaire. A cross-sectional study was conducted. A convenience sampling was used to recruit 263 postpartum women from postpartum wards of a medical center, local teaching hospital and local hospital located in Southern Taiwan. Factor analysis showed that this questionnaire has four factors: socioeconomic (12 items), health/functioning (10 items), family/baby (10 items), relational/psychological (7 items), accounting for 57.18% of the total variance. The questionnaire showed good convergent and discriminate validities, because the correlation coefficients between subscales and the total scale as well as subscales and subscales were .83 to .88 and .60 to .67 (p <.01) respectively. The Cronbach’s α was .96 for the total scale. Cronbach’s α values of four subscales were all more than .88, indicating good internal consistency. The intra-class correlation coefficient value was .89 (n=24, p < .01) for the test-retest reliability in two weeks. The findings of the current study could be applied clinically in the future for studying and evaluating the quality of life of postpartum women. This will aid the nursing staff to better understand postpartum women’s quality of life, in order to provide timely nursing intervention and thus help women cope with postpartum changes.
