It could be memory loss, confuse, and change their behavior. The risk factors of dementia have been searching in the world but unclear. This study used Bayesian approach to analysis two risk factors, include depression and diabetes mellitus, of dementia. We included 108,998 patients who aged 65 years or older. We observed older aged (OR=6.600) and female sex(OR=1.230) as independent risk factors for dementia. We observed that depression (OR =2.012), diabetes mellitus (OR =1.006), and both depression and diabetes mellitus (OR=2.024) were associated with an increased risk of dementia. We found that depression, diabetes mellitus, or both are associated with an increased risk of dementia among elderly population in Taiwan. Yen-Hsia Wen 溫燕霞 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 42 zh-TW |
