The subjects were randomly chosen from a junior high school in Southern Kaohsiung. Based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the study was undertaken to investigate whether the subjects’ behavioral intention to use LINE affects their interpersonal relationship and learning attitude. By analyzing the result of this study, the researcher further provided suggestions for school administrators, teachers, and parents to integrate mobile instant messengers into instruction as well as to provide regulations and knowledge for students to use mobile instant messengers. It eventually led to a win-win result for teachers, students, and parents. Documentation Analysis and Questionnaire Survey were adopted to achieve the purpose of this study. The questionnaire “The Effect of Using Mobile Instant Messengers on Junior High School Students’ Interpersonal Relationship and Learning Attitude -with a case study of LINE” was conducted to collect the subjects’ responses. The subjects were 260 students in this target junior high school. However, two of them failed to complete the questionnaires because of personal reasons. Thus, the number of the valid questionnaires was 258. By using SPSS 17.0, the data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, T-test, one-way ANOVA, and regression analysis. The results showed that: 1) Positive correlation was shown between the subjects’ perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. 2) The subjects’ perceived usefulness had positive impact on their attitude toward the use of LINE. 3) The subjects’ perceived ease of use had positive impact on their attitude toward the use of LINE. 4) The subjects’ attitude toward the use of LINE had positive impact on their behavioral intention to use LINE. 5) The subjects’ behavioral intention to use LINE had positive impact on their interpersonal relationship. 6) The subjects’ behavioral intention to use LINE had positive impact on their learning attitude. Path analysis showed that it could explain subjects’ learning attitude to the extent of 3.0% while it reached the level of 53.3% in explaining subjects’ interpersonal relationship. With the integration of mobile instant messengers into instruction and positive interaction between the instructors and the students, it is believed that students’ life competence and learning attitude will be enhanced in such multi-learning environment.
