Methods: Participants were trainee that trained by an emergency service associate’s primary emergency medical technician, who joined in August 2015 to January 2016 in this cross-sectional study. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data. A total of 650 subjects who recovered 614 valid questionnaires, the valid recovery rate was 94%. The questionnaire is divided into four parts, include “personality traits” scale (5 dimensions), “learning satisfaction” scale (4 dimensions), “learning effectiveness of emergency ambulance training” scale (4 dimensions) and “basic information” , α value of each dimension’s pre-test and post-test are greater than 0.7. Results:Under out of 5 points, 5 dimensions of personality of average value are emotional sensitivity (2.66 points), extraversion (3.68 points), openness (3.56 points), friendliness (4.01 points) and cautious (3.87 points). Total points of average value of learning satisfaction are 4.5 (conversion as 100 points are 90 points), “teaching” dimension has 4.66 points is the highest. Under out of 2 points, average value of learning effectiveness is 1.81, “basic conception” dimension has 1.98 points is the highest (conversion as 100 points are 92 points). In bivariate correlation analysis showed that there were positive correlation between personality traits of “openness” and each dimension of learning satisfaction. In multiple regressions analysis revealed that learning effectiveness has higher score, who are 16 to 18 years old better than 22 to 24 years old, and personality traits of “emotional sensitivity” and “extraversion” have negative correlation with leaarning effectiveness, but didn’t have correlation with learning satisfaction of each dimention.
Especially the background is medical field is the most important factor to influence learning satisfaction. Conclusions: Both of learning satisfaction and learning effectiveness are great among trainees, we recommend that can continue to execute the training program in the future. Because of trainee of medical background have better learning effectiveness; we suggest that choice emergency personnel who have background of medicine or nurse are the prior consideration. In addition, we propose that can add technical course examination as evaluation item in learning effectiveness for more comprehensive assessment in the future.
