Taiwan calligraphers gradually attended to value the better rubbings among all and emphasis ways to use brush pen, the pure and nature pristine beauty features were also formed. But since 1949, after the government withdrew from Mainland China to Taiwan, many painters and calligraphers also moved and lived in Taiwan, which made the rise of Taiwan calligrapher gentry and the elite class, school system, newspapers, publishing and the association of calligraphy were also established. Planning of calligraphy learning programs, public opinions influence and development, exquisite collection of artifacts, continued and affected the social phenomenon and habits of fine living standard for scholars. The calligraphers changed their value perceptions in order to create more successful results of their predecessors and by extraordinary alternative way, calligraphers in Taiwan had changed the development process to create their own unique styles and change the face of calligraphy. Today, the establishment of the history of calligraphy in Taiwan has been generally recognized, but more studies explored the direction of multi-course changes on the history of calligraphy in Taiwan, more relevant studies discussed each calligraphy style of certain period of time or individual. On the contrast, discussion on the impact and style of Taiwan’s clerical script calligraphers were apparently neglected. There were many good clerical script calligraphers’ works during 1949 in Taiwan. But only few articles discussed focus on the modern development of clerical script. Therefore, this study, dedicated to discuss those who were good at clerical script and were native or relocated to Taiwan during 1949. By refer all types of information, focus on those calligraphers, collection of their works photos, personal life story, background introduction of their learning experience of clerical script, in order to explore several famous clerical script calligraphers works transformation process from the aspects of style transforming, influence under the social and cultural impacts. In addition to the photos of each calligrapher’s works, this study will show the comparisons of composition of calligraphy and individual special style of works. To show their mature skills by their hard work of rubbings and developed each unique clerical script style, also demonstrate the results of combination of academic and calligraphy research and application. Finally, according to their works photos summarized the name list of good calligraphers of clerical script style in Taiwan, also lay foundation for future study of process of clerical script style transformation and evolution.
