A survey was conducted in Taipei city and New Taipei city for deaf students’ parents. The purposive sampling was used and 314 questionnaires were sent to participants. 257 questionnaires could be used to research analysis. Valid response rate is 86%. The research instrument is “traditional concepts and parenting behavior questionnaire”. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, ANOVA, and hierarchical regression were used to analyze the data. The main results of this study are as follows: 1.The middle and low socioeconomic status of deaf students’ parents is the most. 2.Deaf students’ parents generally identify traditional concepts. Among these “family honor” of traditional concepts is stronger. 3.The frequencies of “authoritative parenting” is the highest. 4.Generally, low socioeconomic status of deaf students’ parents has stronger traditional concepts. 5.The higher the socioeconomic status of deaf students’ parents is, the more the use of “authoritative parenting”. 6.The traditional concepts did not influence “permissive parenting”. 7. “fatalistic connection” and“family honor” have influence on “authoritarian parenting”. 8.Excepting for “family honor” and “patriarchal system”, others have influence on “authoritative parenting”. Finally, according to results and discussion of this study, we provide substantial suggestions for family, government, educators, and future relevant research for reference. 1.Suggestions for family: (1) actively participating parental lecture; (2) providing equal and consistent parenting behavior. 2.Suggestions for government sectors: (1) providing parenting information through technology; (2) using the advertisement and media to provide parenting information. 3.Suggestions for educators: (1) implementing individual education projects in which family need help; (2) irregularly holding parenting activities. 4.Suggestions for future relevant researches: (1) using qualitative and quantitative methods simultaneously; (2) expanding the research subjects; (3) using college deaf students for research subjects; (4) redeveloping appropriate research questionnaire.
