With questionnaire method the study drafts questionnaires to investigate teachers’ sense of humor, students’ self-efficacy on studying and students’ academic stress based on literatures and discussions, as well as expert’s opinions and auditing. The study takes the students from seven, eight and nine grades from XX Junior High School in Luzhou District, New Taipei City as research subjects, applying the method of stratified random sampling to select 420 students. The valid questionnaires are 387 and the valid response rate is 87%. The data analysis is finished by the methods of descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA (analysis of variance) and AMOS 20.0. The results are as follows: 1. In the part of self-efficiency on studying, significant differences can be observed in parents' disciplinary attitudes and in different grades while not in other background variables. 2. In the part of teachers’ sense of humor, significant differences can be observed in socio-economic status while not in other background variables. 3. In the part of students’ academic stress, significant differences can be observed in parents' disciplinary attitudes while not in other background variables. 4. Self-efficiency on studying has significant positive influence on students’ academic stress. 5. Teachers’ sense of humor has no significant influence on students’ academic stress. 6. Teachers’ sense of humor has significant positive influence on self-efficiency on studying. 7. Teachers’ sense of humor has full mediated effects on students’ academic stress, which means that teachers’ sense of humor must be through self-efficiency on studying to provide indirect influences on schoolwork pressure. In conclusion, based on the results and discussions, recommendations for education administration authority, school administrative unit, teachers and researchers were proposed for reference in the future.
