The chemical constituents and the biological activity of this plant have notyet been identified. In continuation of a program toward the studies of chemotaxonomy from Formosan Lauraceous plants. Investigation on the MeOH extract of the stem of this species has led to the isolation including coumarin (1), scopoletin (2), aesculetin dimethyl ester (3), isoobtusilactone A (4), β-sitostenone (5), β-sitosterol (6), stigmastenone (7), stigmasterol (8) and palmitic acid (9). On antioxidant capacity, scopoletin (2), aesculetin dimethyl ester (3),isoobtusilactone A (4), β-sitostenone (5) have no significant differences on radical scavenging. Scopoletin (2) showed inhibition of A549 on antipro-liferative effects. Dr. Chung-Yi Chen 陳中一 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 59 zh-TW
