Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 餐旅管理學系碩士在職專班 === 104 === In recent years, the trend of religious tourism in Taiwan has been popular. However, it is mainly activities of Buddhism, Taoism or incense burning at temples of general folk religions. Many Catholic churches or pilgrimage attractions are seldom visited by tourists. Why is there a lack of relevant studies on investigating Catholic tourism? This academic study intends to make up for the deficiencies in this regard. This study used empirical questionnaire survey and statistical methods to investigate how the level of perception, tourism image, activity attractiveness, cultural marketing, and subsidization incentives of faculties and students of Fu Jen Catholic University for Catholic churches affect their travel intention to visit Catholic churches and participate in important Catholic festive activities. The analysis on 766 valid samples found that: spiritual growth, religious meanings, and solemn dignity all enhance the travel intention of faculties and students of Fu Jen Catholic University to visit Catholic churches. However, the influence of fund subsidization is most significant. 42.56% of those who do not have religious beliefs were willing to experience different religious culture. More than half of the faculties and students who received the interviews agreed that they are willing to visit Catholic churches or pilgrimage attractions in various places in Taiwan if they have chances. Lastly, according to the research results, this study proposed suggestions as reference for Churches and various Catholic groups in Taiwan and Mainland China for planning Catholic tourism activities.
