Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 教育領導與發展研究所碩士在職專班 === 104 === This study is designed to investigate current status and the relationship between communication media and administrative effectiveness at the elementary schools in New Taipei City. A self-designed questionnaire was applied and distributed to elementary school teachers of New Taipei City. The study utilized Stratified Random Sampling. Total issued 745 copies were sent with 707 returns, the returned rate was 94.89%. There were 668 valid returns with 94.48% effective returned rate. The following statistical methods were adopted to analyze data, such as frequency distribution, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression, etc. According to the findings of this study, it shows that the teachers’ overall level of perception towards the utilization of communication media by the administrative department is above average; the same level as the perception of administrative effectiveness. However, background factors such as the average age, the total years of teaching experience, years of teaching at the school and the school size show significant influence on the teachers’ perception of performance in the communication media applied by the administrative staff and their effectiveness. Besides, there is a positive correlation between the communication media and the effectiveness of administration, and the teachers perceived "transmission quality" that best predict administrative effectiveness. Therefore, the study suggests that the Bureau of Education should arrange a variety of learning courses related to the uses of communication media according to different needs of teachers and administrative staff, in order to enhance their communication abilities. The recommendations for school leaders would be to create an atmosphere which facilitates effective communication between teachers and administration. Also, the school leaders should listen to senior teachers for their ideas and make them being the helpers in promoting the school affairs. Suggestions to the administrative staff would be paying more attention to the communication methods when communicating with teachers, using different kinds of media to transmit information. They also need to get feedbacks from teachers after the information is sent and provide channels for them to feedback.
