The research adopts questionnaire survey in a way of convenience sampling. A total of 1400 questionnaire were distributed and 1319 returned questionnaire are effective with a response rate of 94%. Based on the questionnaire and the statistical analyses, includingdescriptive statistics, one way analysis of variance, Scheffé post hoc tests, Pearson product-moment correlation, etc., conclusions are reached as follows: (a) For the exercise behavior of Air Force servicemen, in gender, male is more than female. In level of education, college graduates occupy a bigger proportion. In age, most servicemen are between 20 to 30 years old. In service year, 1 to 5 years are the most. (b) Most servicemen have moderate intensity activities with the frequency of 1 to 2 per week and 16 to 30 minutes per time. (c) On the self-determination of Air Force servicemen, the top three self-determination are sense of autonomy, sense of relations and sense of competence in sequence. (d) On the exercise behavior of Air Force servicemen, the top three ones are exercise benefits, exercise sense and self-discipline in sequence. (e) Air Force servicemen in different age group and with different service years have substantial divergence on self-determination. (f) Air Force servicemen with different level of education and different service years have substantial divergence on exercise effectiveness. (g) Self-determination are in line with exercise effectiveness in all aspects. Keywords: Air Force servicemen, exercise participation, psychological needs, motor behavior.
