Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 國際創業與經營管理學程碩士在職專班 === 104 === Through gaining an understanding of the current status in social entrepreneurship, women’s empowerment and existing gender issues, the goal of this study is to create a clearer path for aspiring individuals by pointing out observations of successes, failures, approaches and advice that can be applied to various attempts at social entrepreneurship. As social enterprises gain momentum in the approach to business management throughout the world, understanding its effects and possible contributions to societies can be instrumental in its application. Through in depth interviews, analyzing recent case studies and researching women’s empowerment work around the world, this study concludes that women’s empowerment work is a social good that creates a ripple effect of benefits in communities it is practiced in. Social entrepreneurship as a means to women’s empowerment can be challenging and many times disheartening. It can be difficult to know the correct steps to take but having passion for the work makes all the difference.
