Faced with the advent of an aging society, we must pay more attention to elderly physiological and psychological demands. Because elderly is not easy to walk and stand for a long time. Therefore, it must be pay more attention to "Chair" requirements in the daily. The purpose of this research is to understand the elderly for shape Images and preferences on Taiwan wooden chair. In research object of three Taiwanese companies include Wing Hing Cheung Wood company(Woody chic), Yong-Jin furniture factory company(Macromaison) and Taiwan Fu Mansha company(Formosa) total 36 study sample using semantic analysis to research. Teat study on November 1, 2015 - December 31, 2015, elderly age over 65, 30 people, location The Shihlin District, Taipei City Tianmu Sports Park. The results show: elderly favorite chair with its primary shape imagery contains "creativity", "stable heavy "and" pure "secondary " practical, "" light "and" mild "; not like chair with a sense of its Images prime shape to include as "ugly", "mechanical", "cold", followed by "uncomfortable", "strong hard "and" perishable". Semantic analysis extracted three factors as "expressive", "durability" and "psychological", display elderly prefer on a wooden chair shape Images on expressive (light, natural), durability (stable, durable), psychological (comfortable, warm). The study results provide Taiwan wooden furniture industry, designers and elderly as a reference.
