碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 音樂學系 === 104 === Abstract The thesis is based on my work, The Hendectet (2013) for exploring the application of the Serialism and the Pitch Class Sets in an appropriate combined way. At first introduces the arrangement of the interval in the Serialism and the Pitch Class Sets, and their relationship / analysis / application related to the arrange -ment of the Serialism and the Pitch Class Sets. The Hendectet is divided into seven small pieces. There are various methods for composing each piece. For example, composition fully based on the Pitch Class Sets, or the simple use of the inverted intervals, or composition created by the twelve -tone Serialism, or the insertion of the Pitch Class Sets into a particular scale, or the combination of the whole tone scale and the chromatic scale, or the motive generated from the partial notes of the Serialism, or the application of the six-note Serialism. introduces the personal experience of the using in the Serialism and the Pitch Class Sets. At last, gives the conclusion from the development of the modern music. In addition, I share my experience of suing the Serialism and the Pitch Class Sets in The Hendectet.
