Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 公共衛生學系碩士班 === 104 === Objectives: Overweight/Obese is a serious problem among school students, this fact result in each country to figure it into health policy, moreover, “Health Inequality” has been more and more concerned recently. However, the urban-rural still exist the “Health Inequality”, therefore, that the aim of this study is to realize the factors of causing school students’ overweight/obese which differ from urban and rural. Methods: The data was derived from “A Study Health Behaviors’ Survey among Students and Teachers after Health Promoting School Accreditation Project”, supported by Taiwan Bureau of Health Promotion. A total of 8038 students were participated. Data were analyzed using the descriptive statistics, chi-square, Mantel-Haenszel test, binary logistic regression and hierarchical logistic regression. Results: The junior high school students’ overweight/obese prevalence of Taiwan is 24.4%. The risks of overweight/obese are the gender (male vs. female, OR=1.50; 95%CI=1.32-1.70), paternal education (high school vs. university, OR=1.27 ; 95%CI=1.05-1.52) (junior high school or less vs. university, OR=1.30;95%CI=1.05- 1.60), dietary habit (good vs. bad, OR=1.22;CI=1.05-1.41), sedentary behavior (much vs. appropriate, OR=1.25;CI=1.08-1.44). However, we confirmed that students study in urban or rural could moderate the relationship between students’ health behaviors and overweight/obese status. if the student study in urban, the influence of overweight/obese is stronger than study in rural. Conclusion: The junior high school students’ overweight/obese prevalence of Taiwan is 24.4%, student study in rural are much more overweight/obese than student study in urban. We confirmed that students study in urban or rural could moderate the relationship between students’ health behaviors and overweight/obese status. If the student study in urban, the influence of overweight/obese is stronger than study in rural.
