Phalaenopsis Pingmiao needs an enclosed space with the regulation of temperature and light during its breeding stage, which is about two years. Therefore, if we shorten the time of breeding and reduce the use of energy, we can keep the cost down and enhance the competitiveness. This paper uses red and blue LEDs, driven by a dimming circuit with PFC. Furthermore, it takes advantage of the orthogonal array, a mathematical method, to find the most suitable combination of lights for Phalaenopsis Pingmiao's growth. After the experiments, it can be realized that different sets of lights do have different impacts on Phalaenopsis Pingmiao. Under the specific conditions, Phalaenopsis Pingmiao can grow more fast; the conditions are listed below: photoperiod for 2 hours, conduction cycle with 30%, CCFL with 0 Lux; red light with 500 Lux and blue light with 75 Lux.
