Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 光電學系 === 104 === Nowadays, people pursue the stereoscopic display. Holography is one of the display techniques which can reconstruct three-dimensional image. Compared to other methods which demand the users to wear stereoscopic glasses, holography can exhibit correct depth information directly. Computer-generated hologram is the technique that it creates a computer model to replace an actual object, and uses computer algorithms to compute the holographic interference fringes. In this thesis, we used a polygonal model to produce a computer-generated hologram. In computing the computer-generated hologram, we dealt with the problem that the object will be shaded each other. In the previous method, a mask is attached against each face of the polygon, but it is time-consuming. We proposed a new method called “slice-by-slice silhouette method” in which the object is separated into several slices. We inserted masks between any adjacent slices. Our proposed method can improve computing efficiently and can be implemented parallels to reduce the computing time.
