People usually adjust the water temperature with temperature changing. But only adjust the water temperature with the subjective perception of user and hot water pipeline’s configuration has different lengths, easy to make the water temperature has a great change and difficult to control in a short time. It may increase danger happened when user adjusts carelessly. The purpose of this thesis is to develop an electronic temperature control spool system with boost converter to improve the shortcoming of old type manual adjustment spool mixing water temperature unstableness. We combine DC motor and MCU designing to produce a set of equipment which provides judgment to temperature feedback and automatic temperature thermostat regulation. However, we can only use restriction low voltage. In order to make the DC motor has enough torque to drive the temperature control spool, so we not only selection of suitable DC motor carefully, but also design a boost converter to boost the Low level voltage to the high level voltage, making the DC motor has higher speed to achieve the response speed of the temperature control spool, and enough current output capability to achieve the demand of the maximum output torque. Finally, prove control strategy and analysis the performance and efficiency of the boost converter. The results confirmed that the spool control circuit accord the design of the control strategy, and the boost converter circuit even when the input supply unstable, that output voltage still remain 12 V and has higher efficiency, realize a temperature adjustment control system with high response.
