| Summary: | 碩士 === 大葉大學 === 管理學院碩士在職專班 === 104 === While it is more and more competitive in the industry, the information system is introduced and the enterprise needs to keep rebuilding and use of better technology to adapt itself to the market. Here we talk about to be in a powerful supply chain capabilities, which is necessary for a company to successfully face the market competition. It takes a proper and efficient application of the information technology to upgrade the supply chain management and to help a company to survive in a fast changing market place. The bicycle industry in Taiwan, for example, where there is a complete supply chain, the information technology has been applied in a good way to integrate the supply chain operation in their global logistics management. Consequently it offers a faster, better, and more convenient customer service, which becomes a powerful weapon to be a competitive business in the international market. In this research, a questionnaire survey is conducted to study the upstream and downstream suppliers inside the whole supply chain of the bicycle industry in Taiwan. A total of 168 valid questionnaires were retrieved, and the data were analyzed with structural equation model analysis (SEM). The results were as follows: 1) information technology application had a direct effect on supply chain capabilities; 2) supply chain capabilities had a direct effect on operational performance; 3) operational performance had a direct effect on financial performance. Based on the results, suggestions were proposed to related enterprises for reference.
