The purpose of this study is to find out the relevency of the using regulation,motivation, behavior,and the using effect.This study would design instant message group regulation scale, instant message using motivation scale, instant message using behavior scale, and instant message using effect scale.Subjects were 349 junior high students from the central region of Taiwan,and the study was conducted through survey sampling. The effective sample size is about 93%. The data will be analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson’s correlation, and Path Analysis.The results are as follow: 1. Under the effect of the group regulation, junior high school students are prone to use instant message.When the instant message users are satisfied by using it, it will enhence their using motivation. 2. In the aspect of instant message group regulation,instant message using motivation, instant message using behavior, and instant message using effect, the girls’ Arithmetic mean is bigger than the boys’. There is no significant differences in which grade they are. Instant message group regulation,instant message using motivation, instant message using behavior , and instant message using effect are having positive correlation between each other. 3. Instant message group regulation has significant prediction on instant message using motivation; instant message using motivation has significant prediction on instant message using behavior and instant message using effect. 4. Instant message using motivation has mediation effect on group regulation, using behavior,and using effect.
