This study was conducted via semi-structured interviews with volunteers with their consent of voice recording to collect the research data and do further analysis. From the interviews and data, it was learned that: The volunteers’ motivations are related below three elements, the volunteers ‘initial participation motivations, organizational dimension and the volunteers’ perceptions towards the local eco-environment. First, the volunteers’ initial participation motivations include egoism, altruism and social support. From the egoism perspective, self-growth is critical for volunteers. From the altruism perspective, serving the tourists is not the volunteers’ initial motivation. From the social support perspective, peer influence is the most important. Organizational dimension is related to value identification. It shows that the corporations’ images, visions and values will determine whether the volunteers would come or not. The volunteers’ perceptions towards the local environment is affected their perceptions towards the ecological environment. Meanwhile, the volunteers’ motivations for continuous participation are also related to the above-mentioned three elements, the volunteers ‘initial participation motivations, organizational dimension and the volunteers’ perceptions towards the local eco-environment. First, the volunteers’ initial participation motivations lie in egoism, altruism and social support. In terms of egoism, self-realization can most move the volunteers and make them continue. In terms of altruism, it’s mainly on serving people as the volunteers are willing to share with the tourists. In terms of social support, peer influence is the most critical. Second, the organizational dimension refers to that there shall be a good communication bridge with the organization and the volunteers to create a good organizational climate so that the volunteers can continue the volunteer work. Third, for social support, it shows that the volunteer like the environment very much and it needs the efforts from the organization, volunteers and the tourists to maintain. 張玉明 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 101 zh-TW |
