Description
Summary:碩士 === 大葉大學 === 運動健康管理學系 === 104 === The purpose of the study was to investigate the Relationships Among Primary School Higher Grade Students’ Physical Self-efficacy, Sports Participation Level and Body Image. Study subjects were from Taoyuan City, Taoyuan District elementary school fifth and sixth grade students. The participants are assessed with self-report questionnaires that include Physical Self-efficacy Scale, Exercise Participation Level questionnaire and Body Image Scale. The questionnaires were administered to 500 students and 465 valid replies were received. The retrieved data were further statistically analyzed using the Chinese Version SPSS18.0 and then analyzed with simple regression analysis, multiple regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis to test the hypotheses. Findings were as follow: 1. The “Physical Self-efficacy” can positively predict Body Image and sub-facets of Body Image. Among the facets, “Fitness self-evaluation and emphasis level” is predictably best. 2. The relationship between Exercise Self-efficacy and Body Image was partially mediated by Exercise Participation Level. Among Body Image sub-facets, Exercise Participation Level is also a partial mediator between Exercise self-efficacy and “Fitness self-evaluation and emphasis level”.
