To investigate the differences in the perceptions of academic directors’ servant leadership and teachers’ teaching effectiveness among the junior high school teachers with different background variables in Tainan City. To analyze the relationships among academic directors’ servant leadership and teachers’ teaching effectiveness. To further analyze the predictive capability of academic directors’ servant leadership toward teachers’ teaching effectiveness. The participants are the public junior high school teachers in Tainan city. The instrument is “Questionnaire on Academic Directors’ Servant Leadership and Teachers’ Teaching Effectiveness in junior high schools”. In this study, 29 public elementary schools were selected valid responses were 376 valid samples in total under formal testing. The data was analyzed by the descriptive statistics, independent-samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation analysis and multiple stepwise regression analysis. The findings of the study are as follows : 1. The junior high school teachers’ perceptions of academic directors’ servant leadership is above average. 2. The junior high school teachers’ perceptions of teachers’ teaching effectiveness are of above average. 3. The junior high school teachers’ perceptions of academic directors' servant leadership are significantly different in terms of different ages, education level, years of service, and the school scale. 4. The junior high school teachers’ perceptions of teachers’ teaching effectiveness are significantly different in terms of different education level and designated duty. 5. There was significantly positive correlation between the academic directors’ servant leadership and teachers’ teaching effectiveness. 6. The academic directors’ servant leadership could effectively predict teachers’ teaching effectiveness. Finally, the researcher’s suggestions which are based on the findings can be taken as references for academic directors and teachers in junior high school, and future researchers.
