Summary:碩士 === 健行科技大學 === 企業管理系碩士班 === 104 === The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the junior high school students’ perceptions on homeroom teachers’ paternalistic leadership and students’ self-efficacy for learning, in which leader-member exchange (LMX) was used as a mediator, and to inspect the intermediary results of paternalistic leadership and self-efficacy of learning. This study used survey research. The subjects of this study were students from one junior school in Taoyuan City. This study adopted a method of convenience sampling. Collected data were analyzed by descriptive-statistics, t test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The main results of this study were as follows: 1. The present degree of homeroom teachers’ paternalistic leadership behaviors reached higher than the middle level. They did very well on “Moral leadership”, followed by “Benevolence leadership”, but did worst on “Authoritarianism leadership”. 2. The junior high school students’ perceptions on homeroom teachers’ paternalistic leadership suggested significant correlation among the different students’ grade level. 3. The Junior High School Students’ Self-efficacy for Learning existed differences among the different students’gender, teachers’gender, grade level, class officer seniority and teaching assistant seniority. 4. There was a significant positive correlation between homeroom teachers’ paternalistic leadership and junior high school students’ Self-efficacy for Learning. “Moral leadership” and “Benevolence leadership” were significantly correlated with the whole and each aspect of “Junior High School Students’ Self-efficacy for Learning”. “Authoritarianism leadership” was negatively correlated with the whole, and each aspect of “Junior High School Students’ Self-efficacy for Learning”. 5. The homeroom teachers’ paternalistic leadership was notably predictable to the Junior High School Students’ Self-efficacy for Learning. On the whole, “Benevolence leadership” held the highest predictable ability on “Junior High School Students’ Self-efficacy for Learning”. 6. The homeroom teachers’ paternalistic leadership and Junior High School Students’ Self-efficacy for Learning was mediated by LMX. Based on the research results, some suggestions were provided for homeroom teachers ,administrators of junior high schools, educational institutions and researchers studying related topics.
