Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 商業設計研究所 === 104 === The origin of creation comes from personal life experience when the author happened to meet five bats during the down period of life. In the process, the author felt the simple affection of nature between human being and animals that encouraged the author to work out the down period and to get better. One particular blessing required mentioning is to come to the Chung Yuan Christian University! especially with recognizing the educational philosophy “We respect the dignity of nature and of humanity, and we seek to promote harmony between the Creator, oneself, all other human beings, and the entire creation .” The author linked such educational philosophy with the thought from the experience living with those bats and produced further thoughts: “Once we can live with nature and all creations in harmony, the environment will become our helper!” Consequently, the title of this creation “Using environmental context in mixed media creation” is given birth. By using the first building “Grace Building” at Chung Yuan to be the base of this creation and by combining the deep roots of 60 years Chung Yuan history, the creation stands on the shoulders of giant on the one hand, and releases the author’s affection on the bats on the other hand. Meanwhile, the author uses the Grace Building to express the thankfulness for the university as well as to respond the grace of God’s amazing arrangement. To fully utilize the “environmental context” and to extend the creation to others, the author issued the creation on the day of commencement which was the most graceful day in the university. The author would like to bring the concept of the creation through the most representative time and space, along with interactive methods and multiple materials. In addition, the author expects to use the creation to bring blessings to all graduates and even students and faculty could receive blessings among themselves.
