The context was manipulated by varying the background color and the location of the stimulus in the study and test phases. The to-be-recognized stimulus was presented in either the same or a different context as it was learned in the study phase. The results revealed that correct recognition was higher when the study and test contexts were the same than when they were different. In addition, false recognition was affected by contextual similarity in the same manner: false recognition was higher in the same-context condition than in the different-context condition. The findings show the importance of contextual similarity to false memory. Hsuan-Fu Chao 趙軒甫 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 43 zh-TW
