碩士 === 中臺科技大學 === 文教事業經營研究所 === 104 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between psychological capital and professional growth of the elementary school teachers in Taichung City. The study was conducted quantitatively based on questionnaire survey adopting self-compiled questionnaire “psychological capital and professional growth of the elementary school teachers in Taichung City”. The questionnaires were distributed among 528 subjects with stratified random sampling, and 515 effective datasets were collected, with a collection rate of 97.53%. The data were analyzed with statistic approaches of mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple regressions by software SPSS, which revealed the following results: (1) The perceptions of psychological capital of the elementary school teachers in Taichung City reached medium to high above the average. (2) The perceptions of professional growth of the elementary school teachers in Taichung City reached medium to high above the average. (3) There were significant differences in the perceptions of psycological capital with different age, durations of service. (4) There were significant differences in the perceptions of professional growth with different genders, durations of service, and positions. (5) The perception of psycological capital was correlated positively to the professional growth. (6) There was effective predictive power of the perception of psycological capital on the professional growth. Finally, some suggestions were proposed for educational administrations, elementary school and future researchers based on our results.
