Summary: | 碩士 === 中臺科技大學 === 文教事業經營研究所 === 104 === This study explores the relationships among positive psychology, self-conception and school adjustment of junior high school students in Nantou. The study also analysis the differentiations among the students with different background.
This study will be conducted through questionnaire survey. The participants are in grade eight and they are from 33 classes of 9 junior high schools. They included 830 junior high school students in Nantou. The instruments used for this study are “The Junior High School Students’ Positive Psychology Scale”, “The Junior High School Students’ Self-concept Scale” and “Junior High School Students’ School Adjustment Scale”. The statistical methods used in this study include descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, and multiple-regression.
The conclusions of this study are as follows:
1. The current situations of positive psychology, self-conception and school adjustment of junior high school students in Nantou are: (1)the positive psycholgical character strengths is “the intermediate level”, (2)the self-conception is “the intermediate level”, and (3)the school adjustment is “intermediate-high level”.
2. The junior high school students with different background have differentiations amoung positive psychology, self-conception and school adjustment.
3. There is a positive correlation amoung positive psychology, self-conception and school adjustment.
4. The positive psychological character strengths and self-conception have prediction to school adjustment.
Finally, we made recommentations to parents, school teachers, school administrant and the further researchers base on the results and analysis of this study.
