Since 1978, several kinds of passive samplers have been commercialized. More researches were published for workplace monitoring of passive samplers. More and more countries use passive samplers for workplace monitoring. Business entities use passive samplers as sampling tool to evaluate the exposed limit for harmful chemicals from work labor. The main purposes of our research were: (1) to understand the health risk of work labor who were exposed to harmful chemicals under permissible exposure limit (PEL), we tried to evaluate the feasibility to use passive samplers as sampling tool for workplace monitoring; (2) to study the demand and need for passive samplers used by institutions and sampling organizations. We assigned the questionnaires and sent out to the institutions and sampling organizations with return envelopes. Totally, 50 were collected and analyzed by SPSS for Windows 12.0. The questionnaires were surveyed via descriptive statistics. The results were as follows: (1) it was feasible to use passive samplers as sampling tool for workplace monitoring; (2) business entities and sampling organizations still need them for workplace monitoring.
